Xingkang (Anson) Liu

Corporate & Commercial Lawyer | Changsha, Hunan

Profile

I am a PRC-qualified corporate lawyer based in Changsha, with more than two decades of legal practice in Hunan Province.

My practice focuses on corporate restructuring, cross-border investment, distressed assets, and commercial dispute resolution involving Chinese counterparties. I have particular experience in transactions involving state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and local government financing vehicles, and in matters relating to real estate developers and listed companies.

I advise financial institutions, international companies, overseas Chinese investors, and foreign law firms on navigating China's legal and regulatory environment, structuring investments, and managing risks in complex or distressed situations.

A significant part of my work involves representing international clients in commercial litigation, arbitration, and enforcement proceedings against Chinese companies. I regularly assist clients in recovering assets, resolving cross-border disputes, and coordinating multi-party creditor situations.

My approach is execution-oriented. The objective is not merely to obtain a judgment or an arbitral award, but to translate legal rights into practical, enforceable outcomes — particularly in challenging or distressed scenarios.

With deep local experience and an international perspective, I help clients manage legal risk, protect commercial interests, and achieve effective results within the Chinese legal system.
